HERcovery was founded in 2025 by Lylah Ruparel, a high school student graduatuing in 2028. Lylah is a competitive gymnast, who aspires to compete at the D1 level while pursuing sports epidemiology. As the president/founder of the Athletic Health Alliance at Brooklyn Technical and student athletic trainer for the school’s varsity boys’ football team (2024 NYC champions), Lylah experiences firsthand the benefits of support and resources, something most girls’ teams don’t enjoy. That gap inspired her to take action, starting HERcovery to meet needs too many people were ignoring.

HERcovery is built and run by Lylah, with the hope of building and inspiring a community around injury prevention through athletic kits and education, alongside her teammates, community members, and corporate sponsors.
